Excellent fishing for stocked Rainbows!
Beautiful Como lake just north of Atlin is a favorite day-use recreation and picnic spot for locals and visitors.

Born as a gold rush mining town in 1898, today Atlin blends its rich history with modern times.

There's still gold to found in the creeks, and miners still begin work every spring after the thaw.

Huge diesel loaders have replaced the picks and shovel on the creeks.

Recent restorations of historic locations in town have given Atlin a new upbeat flair.

If you are lucky, you will meet some of the locals, an eclectic breed of independent people who are as diverse and unique as the town itself.

There are endless stories to hear and wonderful locations to discover everywhere you turn. It may look like a sleepy northern town, but just scratch the surface and you will find a deep richness glowing like the dazzling sunlight that fills the valley. (from the Atlin Claim)
