The mountains around Atlin are a paradise for all kinds of wintersport activities, even Santa enjoys the fresh winter air
Snowmobiling: Atlin offers it all from easy trail riding on old mining roads to high alpine sledding. The area is very big and there is plenty of room for everybody and best of all there are NO FENCES.
An annual spring event is the Atlin Mountain Challenge. The racers' ascent up Atlin Mountain takes as little as 3 mins. 50 secs. to climb a total of 4400 vertical feet to the finish line. Coming down takes a bit longer!

Cross Country Skiing:
This is GREAT in Atlin. We have superb conditions thru March and April. You can ski on old mining roads and trails or pick one of the many lakes near by. You are sure to find an enjoyable day.

In 2002 the first Annual Teresa Island Quest was held: a 75 km cross country ski race over 1 or 2 days. Every one participant in this first race thought it a tremendous success. Plans for the 2003 Quest are in an advanced stage.
Visit our Atlin Quests website.

Skiing - Snowboarding:
Since 1994 more than 1000 skiers from all over the world have enjoyed a week of Heliskiing with Klondike Heliskiing.
Also available are one day skis.
The Road in: The Atlin Road is maintained year round and is excellent for winter driving.
Snowshoeing: .........endless.........
Mushing: Hans Gatt, the winner of the Yukon Quest 2002 and 2003, hails from Atlin.... Anymore questions....?
Curling: Bonspeils troughout the winter in the Atlin Recreation Center
And last but not least...The Atlin Fun Days:
In the early spring, people in northern communities suffer from an affiction called "cabin fever". Whatever the reason for this, Atlinites are ready to cut loose by March, and what better venue than Atlin Fun Days?
The whole weekend is packed with great entertainment, fun events, and don't forget the food!
Join us, HAVE FUN.
