Llewellyn Glacier flows into the southwestern tip of Atlin Lake from the Juneau Icefields, one of the largest icefields on the continent spreading from the Atlin region almost to the salt water at Juneau.

Many other glaciers flow out of these icefields into the Taku River basin and toward the Alaska ocean coast.
